since civilization's beginning you are caught up in having to deal with or be effected by other culture's idiotic desert wars.
the tech changes (sort of) and the jackets of ideas switch time and time again
but it is always the same desert war
and the populace is always the mass-programmed.
They could be programmed to be kinder
or more constructive
then the poisonous ones would just go back to all they've ever known
